QuickTransit Embedded is a solution available to manufacturers of products incorporating SPARC-based motherboards interested in transitioning to more cost-effective x86-based architecture who wish to avoid the costs and delays of porting built-in software. QuickTransit Embedded allows the original application software to run on the new x86-based platform without modification, thereby reducing engineering costs and accelerating the time to market of new products.
Since QuickTransit Embedded allows the original software to run without modification on the new hardware platforms, manufacturers can continue to support the same single code line and maintain it using the same development tool set.
