Transitive’s Solaris™/SPARC® Migration Initiative Dramatically Reduces Barriers to Running Software on New Server Platforms

New Series of QuickTransit® Products; New Distribution Strategy Through Computer Companies, Systems Integrators and IT Service Providers; and New Partnership Program with Microprocessor Makers, Linux® OS Developers and Virtualization Vendors

Los Gatos, Calif. – June 27, 2006 – Transitive™ Corporation, the leading provider of software that enables transportability of applications across multiple processor and operating system (OS) pairs, today announced its new Solaris™/SPARC® Migration Initiative. The goal of the initiative is to dramatically reduce the barriers IT organizations face when migrating Solaris/SPARC workloads to other servers. At the heart of the initiative is a series of new QuickTransit hardware virtualization products that allow Solaris/SPARC applications to run on other servers without source code or binary changes. As part of the initiative, Transitive will implement a new distribution channel strategy to sell QuickTransit products through its own direct sales force as well as through computer companies, systems integrators and IT service providers. To accelerate the adoption of QuickTransit products in the marketplace, Transitive is also initiating an industry partnership program that will include computer companies, microprocessor makers, Linux operating system developers, and virtualization vendors.

In a separate announcement today, Transitive also announced details of the first two products in a series of new QuickTransit products that will drive the Solaris/SPARC Migration Initiative:

• QuickTransit for Solaris/SPARC-to-Linux/Xeon®, and
• QuickTransit for Solaris/SPARC-to-Linux/Itanium®

QuickTransit Distribution Strategy
Transitive will expand their sales channel to rapidly accelerate the availability of QuickTransit hardware virtualization solutions for IT data centers. Transitive will immediately begin selling products associated with the Solaris/SPARC Migration Initiative directly to end-customers through its own direct sales force. Transitive is also in the process of establishing distribution relationships with a number of computer companies, systems integrators, and IT services companies who will also distribute Transitive’s products as a standard part of their product and service offerings. Transitive expects to make specific announcements with its initial distribution partners before the end of the year.

Industry Partnership Program
Transitive’s industry partnership program for the Solaris/SPARC Migration Initiative will focus on relationships with a number of players in the industry to maximize the performance of QuickTransit technology as well as to accelerate its adoption in the marketplace. Specifically, Transitive will work with microprocessor companies to advance the development and performance of QuickTransit products, with operating systems developers to ensure the integration and transparency of QuickTransit products; with computer companies to ensure the transparent integration of QuickTransit products, and with virtualization companies to ensure the compatibility of our products.
