Richard Young Managing Director, Manchester Technology Fund

Richard is Managing Director of the Manchester Technology Fund, an early-stage technology investment business he set up in 1999 in partnership with the University of Manchester and the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. Richard has 17 years venture capital experience and was previously Investment Director at 3i plc. He has invested in over 40 companies, several of which have gone on to achieve stock-market listings. In addition to Transitive Technologies, he is a director of Medeval Group and iMorphics and investment adviser to the Rising Stars Growth Fund. He also lectures on Entrepreneurship at the Manchester Business School.
